As per a recent IEA report, the time is ripe to tap into hydrogen’s potential contribution to a sustainable energy system. Today, around 17 governments have released hydrogen strategies, more than 20 governments have publicly announced they are working to develop strategies, and numerous companies are seeking to tap into hydrogen business opportunities. Such efforts are timely: hydrogen will be needed for an energy system with net-zero emissions.
With the aim to focus on developing strategies and roadmaps on the role of hydrogen in energy systems; Create incentives for using low-carbon hydrogen to displace unabated fossil fuels; Mobilize investment in production, infrastructure, and factories; Provide strong innovation support to ensure critical technologies reach commercialization soon, and Establish appropriate certification, standardization and regulation regimes, the event “International Tech Talk on "Hydrogen & Fuel Cell: India's Mission & Economy” was organized by the RESI as a series of virtual sessions during this pandemic of COVID in the association with various partners from Government/Industries.
